As more and more products add MIDI 2.0 capabilities, it was time to add a special category to the MIDI Innovation Awards to celebrate these MIDI innovators.

Voting for this category is separate from the other categories. In other words, an entry could NOT be selected as a finalist in the NonCommercial/Prototype Software category, but still win the MIDI 2.0 category.
