Memberships

The MIDI Association (TMA) is an all-volunteer, member driven global organization, and there are a number of ways to join and participate.

Everyone interested in MIDI should start by joining for free as an individual, then MIDI Developers can log into the website to explore our SysEx ID Only or Corporate membership options.

Individual

Everyone should start by signing up as an individual MIDI member for FREE and telling us a bit about yourself.

Then we can send you just the info you’re interested in whether it’s tips and tricks on how to use MIDI or developer info on how to create MIDI 2.0 products.

Join the global MIDI community now and contribute to the future of MIDI.

SysEx ID Only

For smaller developers and startups, there is the choice to purchase a non-voting SysEx ID membership that uniquely identifies your MIDI products and lets you do all sorts of creative things with MIDI including MIDI 2.0.

SysEx IDs are now permanent so a $240 investment allows you to own your SysEx in perpetuity.

We understand that starting a MIDI business is challenging and we are here to help and support you.

Corporate

If your company is serious about making and selling MIDI products, you should join The MIDI Association as a corporate member.

Joining even for a single year comes with a permanent SysEx ID and allows you to use the MIDI 2.0 logo (if your products qualify). Memberships start at $600 a year and are based on annual revenue.

Corporate Membership gets you immediate access to MIDI specification under development and the MIDI Association’s private Github giving you a critical time to market advantage as MIDI 2.0 rolls out
