The MIDI Association at Music China 2025
The MIDI Association has a lot of plans for Music China 2025.
We will have a booth similar to what we had in 2024, but it will be in the new Hall N3.
To give you some perspective each of the 16 Halls (W1-W5, E1-E7 and N 1-3)at Music China are about the same size as NAMM’s Hall A.
Inside Hall N3 there is a lot going on especially with Music X and Music China’s Music Lab.
Today, the newly upgraded Music X focuses on innovative music technology, We extend multi-dimensional application scenarios, from music creation tools, audio processing and analysis to music performance and play, build a complete industrial chain display ecology, and strive to create an international exchange and cooperation platform to enhance the competitiveness of China’s music technology industry in the global market in all respects.

The MIDI Association Booth Layout
The MIDI Association’s four sided booth will feature different themes on each side.
Side A will feature a display of a high resolution MIDI 2.0 Studio with a Yamaha Montage 6 product and a SL88 GT from Studio Logic and the RotoControl from Melbourne Instruments.
Side B will feature the winners of the MIDI Innovation Awards and several of those winners will be there in person including people from Azotech and Playtonic.
Side C will feature a demo of music accessibility that will center around Connect Through MIDI and the Arcana Strum as well as a number of other MIDI Innovation Award entries. We will be doing a more detailed description of this demo soon.
Side D will feature a demo of the newest version the Piano Profile as well as demo of the new Network transport running MIDI 2.0 on a Windows computer and connected to a Bome Box.
Digishow will put together a very special display for our booth and it will include:
Eight Notes (EM Studio’s finalist in the MIDI Innovation Award, latest upgraded version)
Windy Synthesizer (DigiShow project, an interactive art installation using a pipe organ)
Windy Singer (DigiShow project, a modified oscillating fan with a MIDI looper function)
MIDI Association Presentations on the Music China X Stage
The heart of Music X is the X Stage (MusiX Lab X Stage) – a high-profile platform hosting multi-dimensional events designed for both professionals and entry-level enthusiasts. Throughout the show, this stage will feature new product launches, live demos, masterclasses, and product roadshows, bringing innovations to life in front of the audience. Companies can even take the stage to introduce their latest products or ideas, making for an exciting, interactive showcase.
The MIDI Association will be hosting four different presentations on the Music X stage.

International MIDI Technology Development Forum 2025
We will also be a part of the Forum on Future Music Technology and International MIDI Technology Development.
This forum is a heavy upgrade, invited international and domestic top experts, to jointly create a MIDI technology as the core of the depth of the forum. Through keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and special topic seminars, participants will jointly explore cutting-edge topics such as MIDI 2.0 technical standards, AI-powered intelligent instruments, large-scale audio models, and computational musicology.
