Hello,

Is there a question here?

I assume that there is some connection between these attachments and a thread a few months ago, which seemed to be completed?

Here, one of the .mid files seems to be complete, but the others show the same 'problem' as before with long silence, suggesting that these files are merely 'components' to be inserted into something else?

Geoff, yes, this was part of another thread of questions, of which you partook 😉 Dug up by the spammers. This post is from March.

Yesterday, when I banned the spammer and deleted their post, I wondered whether to remove this post as it didn't attach in any way to the original topic.
I decided the information was still relevant but didn't have time to find the other, older post.
I don't have any way of relagating a post to an earlier date. I'm not sure that this forum software allows it.
So I just left it in place, hoping someone else would "do the honours."
It worked!

Thanks for posting the link to the original topic, Jason.

JohnG,

yes, I failed to notice the date on the post here, that would have given the game away. BUT, it does appear to be a new post re the content, so how has it kept the original date?

A quick and easy way to find the previous item (from the same poster) is to click on the user name and check the other posts from that user.

Geoff,
The spammer's post brought it to the front of the forum, but my deleting that post didn't make the original revert to its correct place in the forum.
Don't ask me why not, I haven't a clue how this forum software works, sometimes it reorders posts, sometimes not.
???
