Hi,
After a very long time I wanted to redo some recordings
I'm having trouble to connect my Yamaha TG77 to my Korg M1(as controller) and I could use some help as this is a long time ago I did this.
Here's how I did set it up.
I connected my SSL2+ midi IN to my Yamaha TG77 midi OUT and the OUT to the IN. Connected the Yamaha TG77 THRU to my Korg M1 OUT. Set both TG77 and M1 to Channel 1 and Local Off on the M1. I connected my TG77 Audio OUtput 1 and 2 to the SSL2+ Inputs. but there is no midi connection happening between the TG77 and the M1.
When I connect the TG77 midi IN to the M1 midi OUT it works fine.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you

The Thru sends your input signal directly out unmodified. This is the chain you have created

SSL2 -> TG77 -> <- M1

Two outputs going to each other.

What are you using the SSL2 for? Is it also controlling the TG77? Is it just for recording audio?

As you found out, the M1 needs to be hooked to the input on the TG77, either directly or through an additional MIDI routing device. The IN is the only way to get MIDI in.
