Last time I worked\played with MIDI was in 1994. Since then work took over my life but about to retire so want to get back into the fun but have very little clue. I have the following initial equipment.

Kurzweil 2500x with Midi (Din 5) -- In -- Thru\Out -- Out and a Midi Select switch

Yamaha CLP 820s with Midi (Din 5) -- In -- Thru -- Out and a "To HOST Connector & HOST SELECT Switch"

An Asus box computer with 32 GB of Ram and a so-so processor (maybe a lil slower than an Intel I5)

My Initial Goal:

1. Get an fairly inexpensive hardware audio interface that I can connect both keyboards and have them write to a software sequencer (which I also need to get); 

2. Using the polyphony of the Kurzweil synth, I want to be able to play along with the output of the software sequencer to a Roland keyboard amp. All sounds going to the Roland 4 channel amp.

Back in '94 I was able to do this with a Kurzweil synth and two sound machines to an amp.  I am hoping this can be done?
