Hello

Here is a picture I took this evening:

<a title="PC to Korg M1 connection" href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener"> removed link

I've been playing keyboards for 35 years, but I never had much use for MIDI.

However, a close family member, a kid age 14, would like to learn the piano. So I dug out my old KORG M1 from the basement, and changed the battery, no problem.

However, I cant seem to figure out how to load the files I downloaded from Korg onto the M1.

I watched several videos and followed the instructions, using Bome SendSX to try to load the original Korg sound banks onto the M1, but it´s doesn’t “get there”.

I have a USB to Midi cable. And I think this might be the problem:

I just plug the USB into my PC and the Midi In into the Midi In port, on the Korg M1.

Since I figure I don’t need to Midi Out cable, as I am only trying to load from PC (USB) onto the keyboard (Midi In)

I tried switching the cable. I tried everything I can think of.

My PC does not have a Midi out port.

My question is this:

Is there any way to get the sounds loaded onto my M1 without buying additional hardware, with a cable like this? (see picture)

I hope that made sense. English is not my native language.

Thank you so much for replying.

P.S: I could not find out how to include a picture with this post, hence the link to imgBB. Thank you for checking it out.
