Hello MIDI Masters, new guy here.

I've been using midi since the old Musiq Quest Note 1+ days, if anyone remembers that old dinosaur. 😀

I have only had a one room studio, where MIDI connections were never an issue. However, I now have a multi room studio (Control/Engineering room, with a isolation door into the larger performance area) and I am hoping to hear the most straightforward way of running MIDI in between rooms. I have the following configuration:
Control/Engineering Room:
1) Presonus StudioLive 32 (no midi ports on board),
2) DAW is Studio One Pro on a PC.
Isolation Door into Performance Area
3) Keyboards / VDrums are in the main performance area

The Performance Area and Control Room share a wall, and I need MIDI to go from Performance area into Control Room. What would be the best approach? Running cable? Cat5e? Some sort of converter? Wireless?

Any help would be very appreciated! Thank you in advance!
