I have a Korg Krome Midied into a Yamaha Motif XS Rack sound module,On the Krome in "global midi mode" I turned off the "control change'
so I could sound the motif without the Krome controls affecting anything. The module sounds no problem but cant get it to sustain with pedal.
what am I doing wrong????

With MIDI, the sustain pedal is sent via control change number 64. If you set your Krome to not send control change messages, that will prevent it from sending sustain.

What Im trying to do is.... The Krome has 4 assignable knob midi parameters. So I layered a "piano with strings combo" set the 2nd assignable knob to volume
so I could control the volume of the strings independent of the Piano, which works, but when trying to play the Motif ie "Galaxy Tine tone" with the Krome piano&string combo, together the volume on the string affects the Motif Volume. Is there any way around this????
