I need a few bars with notes or chords and program changes, on a single midichannel, "1" would be good.
I have no installed program, like the old cubase to make, it.

Basicly i need a testfile, with program changes on a single channel, if anyone have a setup. to do it with a few keystrokes and can upload with attachment, i would be greatful for the help.
Otherwise i must dwelve into a daw to create one...

Hello,

You can find any number of midi files via the web, and some are quite small. Better to find a piece of music you're familiar with already?

There are various pieces of software available to download that will play a midi file, and some (not all I suspect) will allow you to change the instrument (patch) at the start. How many keystrokes will be involved will depend. If you're using sounds from banks, then there will be more keystrokes involved.

This refers to changing an existing patch change to a different instrument.. I'm not sure any 'playing' software will allow the ADDING of a new patch change where there was not already one. This will need something more like a DAW.

I just need two chords with different program on a channel, it is hard to sieve them out when files big. So really no music just two notes or chords using different program number on a single channel. Note parsing working good now i just must apply the PPQ so i can change beat of the impored notes.

But i just realised my CC parsing flawed just find first event of each CC, that is the disadvantage with big files you miss the finprint, i just saw it read in alot of different CC correct, but it was just the first ones.

But now i am onto the instruments to be parsed out, and i am not sure the midi parser that read in the midifile and parse out strings do it correct. Once i have a midifile with two chords and two programs on same channel i will know.

Hello Jonas,

Trying to attach a .ZIP file, but suddenly system seems to reject? Trying other things?

Files I'm trying to send are a little .MID file, and a .TXT which contains the data in the .MID so you know what should be there. If you want anything else in the file, please just ask.
