Jason has two files, labelled as .MID, but not midi.

Did play via Quicktime, but cannot now play them.

Jason,

I've created a new thread. Otherwise, your question remains hidden at the end of a fairly long one about something else, and few people are going to see it!

I've been looking again at the files, and nothing I've got will play them. I'm not sure they're any sort of audio format. Ther are certainly NOT now midi.

If you could remember what they once were, that might be a help. I've tried .AVI, which I think might have been possible, but one piece of software at least gave me a time for the file, but that's all.

However, before spending too much time on the files (which do contain some musical information), please note that AXELF is readily available as a standard midi file (it's a piece from 'Beverley Hill Cop'. The other piece 'Wierd Song' (?) I'm not familiar with, but there is a midi file on the web called 'The Wierd Song' composed by ? Tillotson which might be relevant.

It looks to me as if the original midi files that you had have been loaded into something, and then saved as that applications internal format and NOT as midi files. Hence the text in the file referring to instruments etc. So may be better to just go back to the original midi files?

Geoff

These are not MIDI. The tags I see inside are specific for QTFF, but no idea of which exactly type they are...
