What TiME is It?
It seems fitting that on the same day we are celebrating David Kusek from Passport Designs and Berklee Online that we would announce a new partnership with TiME UK. David was so influential in technology in music education throughout his career.
There are currently two Technology In Music Education organizations.
One is TI:ME which is based in Nashville was founded in 1995 and is primarily focused in the US. It is run by Executive Director, Mike Lawson. We recently did an article about our expanded relationship with TI:ME which you can find here- https://midi.org/time-to-connect-with-midi.
This morning we met with TiME Executive Director Kate Rounding which was founded in 2018 and it was amazing how aligned The MIDI Association and TiME Uk are. Here are a few details.

Kate Rounding, Executive Director TiME UK

Jay Pocknell, TiME Consultant and member of The MIDI Association Music Accessibility Special Interest Group

Tim Yates, TiME Consultant and member of The MIDI Association Music Accessibility Special Interest Group

Adi Dickens, TiME Consultant and member of The MIDI Association Music Accessibility Special Interest Group

Matt Shuttleworth, TiME Consultant and member of The MIDI Association Music Accessibility Special Interest Group
No wonder we felt so connected to TiME. We already are connected by so many people especially in regards to Music Accessibility.
So The MIDI Association and TiME agreed that there is a lot to work on together.
On January 14, P Bone and Yamaha are hosting an accessibility event in Milton Keynes and a number of MIDI Association Music Accessibility people will be there as of course will TiME.
On January 15, Lachi who is performing at The MIDI Association booth on January 24 will be a guest on SoundwithoutSights.org’s monthly meet up.
Thursday 15 January 2026, 7pm GMT.
