Zefiro is the first and unique breath controller designed to be used with any smartphone. We’ve embedded the key technologies of the Artinoise re.corder in a diminitive form factor which uses the universally adopted Type-C. zefiro is a class-compliant MIDI device, allowing it to be used in ANY environment, starting from our app, to VST and hardware synths. It also can be used with programming language (MSX/MSP, PureData, etc..) and even Python to implement fantasy musical instruments and gesture based user interfaces. Both newbies, professionals and makers can use the zefiro as a light, cheap and agile instrument!

We’ve found out that the standard app really resonates with music enthusiasts and people without formal music education, but also professionals who want to have an accessible breath controller with an easy integration in their own rig. One of the most inspiring, tough, is the capability to make music just with your breath input and head movements (with the PRO version) as this will allow people with severe disabilities to enter the world of music making!
