Imagine a midi device that compliments the full functionality of your equipment while providing total synchronization with with your gig set-list.

First some background…in a live performance setting musicians are required to be able to change effects/patches/presets on keyboards, multi-effects processors, modelling amps, etc. quickly and effectively between songs. A major shortcoming of products in this market is that most are not designed to “easily” facilitate live performance in this way or to even access the full capability of the product during live performance.
The SC-1 is a stand-alone MIDI controller designed to bridge the live-performance gap. It is unlike any other stand-alone or a “built-in” solution currently available on the market in both its capabilities and ease of use. By running an application program on your PC that uses your set-list and a user-defined preset list, a resultant “ordered-pair” file is generated and downloaded via WiFi to the SC-1 hardware, and in a matter of seconds, you’re set up and ready to perform your gig with all of your presets in play-list order.
With this product you will…
• Always be ready to start/perform the next song…
• Access all available presets stored anywhere in your gear…
• Always access the correct preset for the song…Features:
• Store multiple lists with up to 128 songs each…
• Complete stand-alone operation…
• Control multiple midi devices…
• Multiple MIDI CC and PC change capability per patch… - https://www.nichedevices.com/

I keep a spreadsheet preset list which maps MIDI program change to preset. For each new gig set-list I run an application (PC/ MAC) which downloads a (.json) file to the SC-1 (my product). The SC-1 then has all the songs for the night in order and I can step through them with a button push. It would be literally impossible to use my gear (the Headrush MX5), or any other similar device for live performance otherwise as we go from song to song in a second or two and finding the next MX5 preset would be awkward at best. I am not aware of any other MIDI device on the market that uses this easy setup method and has the capability of the SC-1.

I am an electrical engineer/ programmer and musician and over the years have seen a need for a device that makes live performance easier, or even possible, using keyboards and/or multi-effects processors. I've owned many different devices that I realized could have used a companion controller to bring out the full capability of the gear and make it easier to use. So I developed one and am using it currently along with my Headrush MX5 for all of my live shows.

The SC-1 has a MIDI 1.0 OUT port which connects to MIDI IN on any gear (keyboards, guitar effects processors, modelling amps, drum machines, etc.) with MIDI capability. The SC-1 can be set up to control multiple devices set to different addresses. This is accomplished by running MIDI THRU from one device to MIDI IN on the next, and so on.

I am interested to partner with manufacturers of midi-controlled gear or Bluetooth applications to incorporate our technology as a stand-alone device or built-in addition to an existing product line.

I currently have a "near production ready" solution, including a complete mechanical design, electrical design, application software, and product firmware. I am looking for an interested partner to bring this product to market. I am 100% confident that this MIDI product fills a void in the MIDI music equipment industry marketplace, it just needs visibility of those musicians and manufacturers who have been looking for a solution to enhance their product capabilities and facilitate their live performance experience.
