How It’s Innovative

The online recording studio used by many of the 600 lessons runs in the browser with nothing to install. This means that the lessons are not just music theory and ear training, but also creative where students learn music by experimenting, listening and analysing. This includes real-time recording from a MIDI keyboard. Registration of learnmusiconline.com.au also provides an automatic registration to masteringmusic.online using the same Google/Microsoft account (SSO) so students can save their songs and results to their Google/One Drive including attached YouTube clips and audio files.

These products give teachers a comprehensive resource to teach music to students of all ages.

Expansion Plans

Once learnmusiconline.com.au and masteringmusic.online are established in the homeschool market, look to expand into the school market to give teachers the opportunity to utilize these resources to teach music in an engaging and stimulating manner. Because both products run in the browser with nothing to install, this makes them ideal for the education sector as they run on all devices including PCs, Macs, iPads, tablets and Chromebooks.

Commercialization

The plan is to release learnmusiconline.com.au to the homeschool market in Australia and New Zealand initially. Datasonics is finalising discussions with the largest homeschool organisation in Australia to make it available to all their current members. Following feedback from these members, we will look to introduce it in USA, Canada and UK through various homeschool organisations.
