COSMOLAB

Cosmolab is an open-source modular development kit consisting of 8 separate units: mainboard, MIDI I/O, Audio I/O, CV I/O, display, LED-equipped potentiometers, and two LED-integrated keyboards.
It supports a wide range of programming environments, including Max/MSP, Pure Data, PlugData, C++, Arduino IDE, Rust, and Faust.

Most Inspiring Use Cases

One of the most inspiring uses of our entry has been its adoption in educational settings, where students and educators use Cosmolab to explore sound synthesis and coding hands-on—sparking creativity, fostering deep understanding of modular systems, and empowering a new generation of musicians and developers to innovate without limits.

Expansion Plans

As an open-source platform, Cosmolab will continuously grow through community-driven expansions, allowing anyone to design and share their own modules. Additionally, through our partnership with Alphalab Audio, developers have the opportunity to transform their algorithms or ideas into fully-fledged commercial products. We also plan to create a Cosmolab app store where users can upload and share their programs—whether open source, free, or paid—fostering a vibrant ecosystem of creative software for the platform.

Commercialization

We plan to launch our crowdfunding campaign in September, with deliveries scheduled for December/January.
There will be special educational pricing plans to make the system accessible to schools and learning institutions. Thanks to its modular design, developers can choose to purchase only the specific modules they need, without the obligation to buy the entire kit.
