Is it possible to edit submitted post on this forum? I can't find an Edit button. It is very strange if there is no such function. It is twice strange since there is no preview functionality for unsubmitted post so I can see what will be wrong with my message before I submit it.

Sorry, but not a lot of point about this.

There are a number of different FORUM systems available, and they all have certain plusses and minuses. I've used a number of them, and yes, most of them DO have a facility for editing your post, which is helpful. The system used here, it appears, does NOT, which is a pity, but I assume there are reasons why the midi.org uses it, and maybe there are reasons that are preferred to the ability to edit.

If you make a serious error, just post another message to correct. No big deal?

Geoff,

My mistake was with appearance of a message. Along with missing of editing feature this forum doesn't have ability to preview a post before submitting. I hope these features will appear in the future 🙂

Hello,

There is an edit function, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Hi,

We have updated the forum software and enabled editing of posts for everyone. FYI, while editing a post there is a preview function.
We are an all volunteer organization so sometimes we don't pick up on some of the features that you might want. Feel free to ask if there are improvements you can suggest to the site.
Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for Edit button!

Unfortunately I don't see preview function while editing a post. See no-preview.png attachment.
