«If a byte order mark which specifies UNICODE such as 'FF FE' or 'FE FF' exists, the character code set should be treated as UNICODE» vs «The following five ASCII characters shall be reserved for use in Lyric/Display Meta Events: \, [, ], {. }» — RP26
One of bytes of a character multibyte codepoint may be a such reserved byte: 5C, 5B, 5D, 7B, 7D. How to deal with it? Should we NOT interpret such bytes as the reseved ASCII characters if we can understand they are in the multibyte Unicode context??
The safe encoding that let avoid this problem is UTF-8. Is there any recomendations about UTF-8?
