Hello
I would like suggestions as to which software to use to re route midi data, change types eg CC to notes, create sophisticated chords and harmonies
(Logic kinda does this) etc. I have just discovered the existence of Max, which seem like overkill, MidiPipe seems like underkill, and MidiFire which seems like a good candidate.
Any experience with these programs, and suggestions for others.
I have a new Macbook Pro, OS 11.5 M1 chip and a Sylphyo wind controller.
Also Logic X and Mainstage.
Many thanks

I can't talk about Max or MidiFire, but MidiPipe is more than capable of routing and translating events, and it is free. You may even program an harmonization algorithm using the 'AppleScript Trigger' tool.
