Looking at this clean forum layout, with clear categories, topic titles, tags, and structured conversation, it really struck me how similar good community design is to good system design in other fields. When everything is labeled, routed, and organized properly, people know exactly where to go and what to do—just like well-structured MIDI routing inside a DAW.

That got me thinking about how MIDI-style thinking could be used outside music, for example as an invisible “notification bus” inside larger platforms where subtle audio cues could guide staff workflows without cluttering screens or overwhelming users. Imagine context-aware sounds triggered by events—patient status changes, device alerts, or room assignments—mapped with the same precision we use when assigning channels and controllers.

I’d love to hear from developers and sound designers here: has anyone experimented with MIDI-driven or MIDI-inspired cue systems in web apps, control rooms, or other complex dashboards like the one shown here? How do you keep audio feedback helpful and informative without it turning into noise?
