Hi guys, i just wanted to present you a project i’m working on since about 3 years now : A standalone MIDI Router that you can litteraly program using the Lua language.

Every incoming messages coming in can be intercepted, catch, merged, retoute, computed, transformed to anything MIDI towards the hardware outputs.

Still a prototype at this stage, i would really appreciate having a feedback of what you think the potential of this kind of thing could be, or what would be the culprits, or whatever your thoughts could be.

I made a video explaining how it works for you to better understand the ideas i have for this.

also, full disclaimer : this project is currently participating to the MIDI Innovation awards contest.

Peace

This sounds like an amazing project, Pascal! The ability to program a MIDI router with Lua opens up so many possibilities for musicians and producers. I can’t wait to see how it evolves. Best of luck in the MIDI Innovation Awards! I’d love to check out the video and hear more about your ideas.
