I am considering buying a Casio PX160, which only has a MIDI via USB type of connector, and I want to control other keyboards (with standard DIN-style MIDI IN) off the PX160. I have only found connectors/adapters that allow ordinary DIN-style MIDI OUT connectors to be converted to USB so those DIN-style keyboards can easily get into the computer. I don't need to get such conventional keyboards into the computer; instead, I just want to be able to control other conventional keyboards off of a keyboard (e.g., the PX160) that has the USB connector. And, I don't want to have to use or bring a Focusrite or the like, much less a computer. Can anyone tell me if such a thing already exists? Or, would anyone be interested in building such a thing, and/or even productizing it? It seems to me that there would be quite a demand for such a simple connector/adapter. I have brought several products to market, from conception through prototyping through offshore manufacturing through marketing, so I would certainly be able to help on that side of things. Can anyone help?

This is the first prototype.
There are already a number of USB to MIDI 5 pin DIN cables on the market including cables from iConnectivity (MIO) , (Roland (UM-One), and Yamaha (UX16), but devices that act as a "Host" are rare.
These interfaces are not worth, they are to connect a keyboard to a computer. He needs a USB host to MIDI.
Jesus is correct. FWIW, the ideal thing would be so slim and small as to be able to fit inline on a cord, with the square USB connector on the one end and the MIDI OUT (and IN, if possible) on the other end, all within a short cord.
Jesus, also fwiw, you should consider making a MIDI interrupt, so that the MIDI signal from a MIDI OUT can be stopped (e.g., if I temporarily don't want the slave unit to receive the signal). I realize that implicates other signal issues, but you know what they are.
Jesus, is there an English language version of your site? I believe there is a translation utility somewhere within the browser, but I don't know where.

The Kenton USB MIDI host that has been already mentioned will work but is quite expensive for what it does. An alternative which does much more than what you need is the iConnectMIDI4+ which has a USB Host port but is still relatively affordable for all that it can do. Or if you can find a first generation iConnectMIDI2 (Not the 2+ which does not have a USB Host port), that would probably be your cheapest alternative until Jesus's design (which looks really interesting) becomes available

Jesus, your adaptor allows up to 8 USB-MIDI connections. Is that using a USB hub? Powered? Can you route different USB-MIDI streams to different channels on the MIDI DIN output? Or does the interface only merge the 8 USB-MIDI streams into one DIN MIDI stream?
Bruno, the device does not allow HUB, but there are MIDI controllers that have several embedded MIDI ports. As there is a one DIN MIDI output, to avoid having saturation, we can indicate how many USB entries ports make merge. That is, we can filter the entries you do not need. The system will recognize each controller that is connected by VID and PID, we will not have to reprogram each time. Everything indicates from a simple button and It is indicated with green or red LEDs, as a semaphore.
