MOD WHEEL MAPPING INCORRECTLY

Hi guys, this is my first post on here and I'm really in a jam, hoping someone can help me out. I recently purchased a cheap WORLDE easykey MIDI controller for use in FL Studio 12. I used to program notes manually or play them on my regular keyboard, but I specifically wanted to have a mod wheel to work with so I invested in the Easykey. The problem is, somewhere along the road, getting from my keyboard to my plugins, the mod wheel is configured wrong. In my DAW, instead of working like all of my keyboards other functions, the mod wheel switches between instruments that I have loaded into my channel rack and cannot be assigned to any other function. I ran an application (can't remember the name) that allows you to see what commands your MIDI keyboard is sending and it showed me that when I move the mod wheel, I'm switching between the various instruments in Windows 10 GS Wavable Synth. So basically, my mod wheel is stuck changing instruments when I turn it and I have no clue how to remedy the issue. (I guess you get what you pay for, amirite?) I'm a pretty tech savvy guy, so much so that I've never needed to post on a forum before, but I just cannot find a solution to this anywhere. If anyone has any information that could help me out, I'll be very thankful.

From your device's User Manual:

This unique knob on EASYKEY is only for adjusting the program change. it can’t be edited.

It's not a mod wheel, it's a patch change wheel. It's doing what it was designed to do.
It is a shame that it can't be configured to send a configurable CC message, which would have allowed you to repurpose it.

Cheers
Eddie
