I am an orchestral composer mainly. I write everything in Sibelius and use Note Performer as the sound engine, which in my opinion does a good job of reproducing orchestral sounds.

When I export from Sibelius as a midi file, and then open in my DAW, which is Mixcraft 8, it does a good job of bringing in most midi data. It will bring in the instruments, the time signature, the tempo and any changes, the key signature and things like a fermata, accents and tremolo. What it does not bring in is cress and decress, portamento, and dynamic changes (volume).

Any thoughts as to why these attributes do not come across as midi data into my DAW?

I have tried opening my Sibelius midi files in Logic and Pro Tools, they bring in little midi data.
