Cosmo

Product Description

Cosmo

Cosmo is an award-winning inclusive technology platform that transforms learning and play through smart, adaptive hardware designed to empower every learner from the very first touch. Our innovative hardware and supporting software are designed to engage learners of all abilities through interactive, sensory-rich experiences. From early years to special education, Cosmo empowers educators, therapists and families to deliver truly inclusive, personalised support.

How It’s Innovative

Cosmo reimagines how people with diverse needs interact with technology, especially in music, learning and play. Unlike traditional accessibility tools, Cosmo combines smart, wireless hardware with adaptive software and open APIs to create fully personalised, multi-sensory experiences. Users can customise everything from touch sensitivity to visual and audio feedback. Its ability to integrate with MIDI and mainstream software platforms means users do not need specialist systems. They can engage with the same tools as everyone else, but in a way that works for them. This blend of design-led inclusivity, modular integration and real-time adaptability is what sets Cosmo apart.

Most Inspiring Use Cases

From a nonverbal child triggering a full orchestral progression in GarageBand for the first time, to groups of learners creating collaborative soundscapes in classroom jam sessions — Cosmo consistently transforms therapy switches into joyful, expressive musical instruments. Across schools, music hubs, and therapy centres, it’s enabling learners of all abilities to create, play, and connect through music in ways they never could before.

Expansion Plans

Cosmo’s next phase focuses on broadening its reach across SEND and mainstream education by enhancing usability, personalisation, and curriculum alignment. Upcoming developments include expanding Cosmo Music with tailored, SEND-friendly activities and music packs, creating an inclusive music learning pathway for Reception (EYFS) learners, and launching pilots with UK Music Hubs. Additionally, Cosmo is exploring AI-assisted music creation tools and deeper integration with third-party platforms like Charanga. Beyond music, Cosmo Lab will introduce an accessible, play-based coding experience for early learners, teaching computational thinking through multi-sensory, active learning. A future web platform is also under consideration to increase accessibility beyond iOS.

Commercialization

Cosmo is already a commercially available system, adopted by over 3,500 organizations and 30,000 learners globally across schools, therapy centers, and music hubs. The product is distributed internationally via direct and partner channels, with regular app updates and new content releases to expand engagement opportunities and user impact.
