This Specification defines two major extensions to the MIDI 1.0 Protocol.
MIDI 2.0 Bit Scaling and Resolution
Universal MIDI Packet (UMP) is part of the MIDI 2.0 specifications. UMP Provides a way to transmit both MIDI 1.0 Protocol and MIDI 2.0 Protocol and translate the data between them.
