Bastion Citoyen turns MIDI 2.0 controllers into a civic operating surface connecting people, lighting, sound, maps, identity, and regenerative action through Kukulkan Warrior in real-time.

Product Description

Bastion Citoyen — Kukulkan Warrior is an operational, non-commercial civic software entry whose 2026 major innovative update adds an accessible MIDI 2.0 control plane. Canonically, Bastion Universalis is the sovereign infrastructure and operating trunk containing the institutional GRP; Citoyen is its citizen arm and uses ERP capabilities for cases, services, consent and participation; Kukulkan is the regenerative-potential ORP. Its Azure PostgreSQL GRP nucleus is documented with five foundational tables, a first operational node and 246,712 confirmed SRE public-data rows, including 230,289 movable-asset rows and more than 5,000 personnel-source rows. On an MSI Windows 11 station, Microsoft Windows MIDI Services provides the UMP transport for Native Instruments and Hercules controllers; Bastion separately generates and validates true MIDI 2.0 Type 4 Channel Voice messages. Mayan Mapper translates gestures into governed actions. Shield treats Warrior/controller gestures as contextual authorization factors; strong identity, policy and cryptographic controls complete protected actions. The control plane connects Illuminati, Cartografía, Sonorum, Conspectus, Nexus, Circus, Alexandria and the wider Terrauniversalis ecosystem.


How It’s Innovative

Most MIDI systems stop at instruments or DAWs. Bastion connects a verified Azure GRP data nucleus to a tactile civic control plane. Its canonical architecture combines Bastion’s sovereign infrastructure and GRP, Citoyen’s citizen-facing ERP capabilities and Kukulkan’s regenerative ORP without collapsing their distinct responsibilities. Legacy controllers are not represented as native MIDI 2.0 hardware: Microsoft Windows MIDI Services carries their MIDI 1.0 data in UMP, while Bastion generates and validates explicit Type 4 Channel Voice packets with 16-bit velocity and 32-bit control values. Mayan Mapper gives each gesture a governed meaning. Shield/Warrior can attach request, approval or signing intent, while passkeys, MFA, dual approval and cryptographic signing remain the authority for high-risk actions. Illuminati, Cartografía and Sonorum provide visible, spatial and audible feedback; Alexandria preserves the evidence for different readers. The innovation is the auditable connection between proven institutional data, accessible musical controllers and regenerative civic action.

Imagine a community assembly where people use familiar pads, keys and faders to declare consented needs, skills and offers. A governed gesture creates or approves a Citoyen service signal; Shield verifies the actor and authority; Cartografía locates it; Sonorum confirms it audibly; Illuminati changes the shared light state; Conspectus identifies the systems involved; Nexus distributes the event; Alexandria preserves and renders its traceable record; and Kukulkan ORP proposes a potential cell connecting complementary people. When a formal signature is required, the controller initiates the signing flow and strong authentication completes it. Each action can become visible, reversible and auditable against a data foundation already tested at institutional scale. Existing music controllers become inclusive civic instruments without requiring an expensive bespoke console.

Expansion Plans

Next steps are to implement the canonical Citoyen and ORP Kukulkan kernels; connect CitizenProfile, CitizenSignal and PotentialCell events to the MIDI action layer; validate the five current controller surfaces end to end; and expand real bindings beyond the current 139 mappings. The roadmap adds MIDI-CI discovery, Profiles and Property Exchange; native USB and Network MIDI 2.0 devices; accessible one-handed and low-vision modes; a public mapping SDK; automated multilingual Alexandria reports; and pilots measuring participation, latency, error recovery and community outcomes. The sixteen Terrauniversalis universes are expansion domains, not a claim that all sixteen already have MIDI bindings.

Commercialization

Bastion operates today as a non-commercial system. Its Azure PostgreSQL nucleus, first operational node and 246,712-row SRE public-data load are documented; the Awards entry packages the cross-system MIDI 2.0 experience for staged validation. After end-to-end controller tests, privacy and security review, and a community pilot, the plan is an open-core edition with documented event contracts and mappings. Paid services could cover deployment, controller mapping, training, integration and support for civic labs, schools, cultural venues, municipalities and community organizations. The model avoids hardware lock-in. No commercial release will be represented as ready until consent flows, identity controls, accessibility, audit trails and failure recovery have been tested in real use.
