AirBending

Elevator Pitch

AirBending

AirBending transforms your hand gestures into MIDI messages using your Mac’s built-in camera. This allows you to play your instruments with greater expressiveness.

Product Description

How It’s Innovative

AirBending, a groundbreaking musical interface design, eliminates the physical barrier between musicians and instruments. Unlike traditional MIDI controllers that require touching keys, knobs, or faders, AirBending transforms the surrounding space into a musical instrument using only hand gestures and built-in Mac camera, without the need for additional hardware.

Most Inspiring Use Cases

The music performer can play their keyboard and control two parameters without physical devices, expanding expressive possibilities. Even adventurous performers can play notes like a theremin.

Expansion Plans

We’ll develop AirBending for iPhone and iPad. Users with multiple Apple devices can connect multiple AirBending MIDI controllers to DAWs or software instruments. We’ll also support controlling any class-compliant USB-C hardware synthesizer directly from iPhone or iPad without a DAW.

Commercialization

We publish the AirBending app as a paid Mac App Store app. More details are available on Nanas Sound’s website. https://www.nanassound.com/products/softwares/airbending
